Well I just got this E-Mail:

Code:
Blended Usage
     	Uploaded - 18MB or [0.01GB]
	Downloaded - 201MB or [0.19GB]
	Combined Total - 219MB or [0.21GB]
	Percentage used - 5.35%
	Status - Not Capped

So I won't be able to download 5 Gigs but only 4093,45 MB :(

Anyone else have the same "problem"

Do2

Do2:

Blended Usage
Uploaded - 109MB or [0.10GB]
Downloaded - 863MB or [0.84GB]
Combined Total - 972MB or [0.94GB]
Percentage used - 31.66%

I used to get 4GB with this account back in the day, now I'll get less than 3... So where exactly is the increase in cap Telkom promised?

According to that you should get 3070 (972/0.3166) odd megs before being capped, that's 3 (or at least 2.998 ;)) gigs and that's what Telkom said 2 gigs -> 3 gigs

Telkom usually caps at around 100.3%, if they do cap. I got capped last month on 3.057GB (Do2), a month before the new caps came into effect

As far as I am aware you get 7% more read this

One GiByte is equal to 1024 x 1024 x
1024 Bytes, which implies that the 3Gig ADSL product indirectly implies that you
are receiving 3 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024 Bytes which is 3 221 225 472 Bytes of
bandwidth in total. If decimal (base 10) and not binary (base 2) was used to
calculate bandwidth, then a 3Gig product would result in you receiving 3 x 1000 x
1000 x 1000 Bytes, which totals 3 000 000 000 Bytes, which is 7% less than 3
221 225 472 Bytes. TelkomInternet therefore calculates and bill bandwidth
usage in such a manor, that should the ambiguity be disputed, it would stand to
the benefit of you our subscriber. In theory, we are giving the you 7% more
value, than the IEEE standard stipulates.

I'm on a do2 account: so I get 2 gigs (capped at 3 gigs, dunno why?) this was before August when do2 would increase to 3 gigs. So if I already got 3 instead of 2 before the announcement, will I now be able to get 4 gigs :confused::confused:

Would the uncapped freaks please go hire a tree house and then you can pat each other on the back somewhere else.

ROFL @ Tree-House.
Telkom did not feel up to giving me my account today.
My hosting companies have decided not to answer my emails today.
This is not a good day for doing stuff.
*sigh*
