Personally I don't trust biostar, but you could go much worse.
Basically Asus generates their motherboard model numbers like so
Example:
P5B - P is for the CPU make (currently P= intel M= AMD)
- 5 is for the generation (basically Socket 775)
- B is for the Chipset generation (any stuff after the B is generally variations on the chipset
Then you usually get a hyphen with either a "V" "VM" or "MX" after. Those boards are the MicroATX board with various spec levels with V being highest and MX being lowest.
THen they might decide to add something after the whole lot like "premium" or "Wifi" or "Do"
In general ASUS Boards are more pricey, but they do come with more stuff.
P5B-VM Do

This new Intel G33 Chipset replaces the 965. It supports Intel 1333FSB CPU's and can overclock the FSB to massively high levels (some people say 1700FSB) The chipset cooling is also very effective. Price??? I think about R1500-R1600
My advice would be to go for one of those 2 boards and overclock the **** out of the best affordable dual core Core2 you can find.
