So who has ordered it? I see it is now available on my Telkom control panel. I also saw my line was available to be upgraded to 40MB... so I have put through the order. Will let you know how the order goes and if the line performs. Anyone else bumped up to 40MB yet?

What you mean by "bumped up yo 40MB yet" ?
Not going to bother with 40mb as 10mb is far more than I will need for my purposes. Will however be interesting to know if it performs, especially with almost every exchange being congested now with everyone hammering their uncapped accounts.

Im interested to know how it performs. The neotel fibre we got is not great, the pings are even worse than ADSL most times.

I still find it weird that you can get 40mb when there isnt even 10mb available - despite the exchange supporting it.

Yes, the router is different to a normal adsl one.
I got 10mb at my home in nahoon.

I battle to get 3mb in Gonubie. the only exchanges supporting 10mb in EL are Cambridge and Nahoon. The quarry can do it but wont(my router shows attainable of 21.8mb)

No man, lots of exchanges in EL support 10mb. Even sunrise on sea. Gonubie I can imagine being sucky. I was there on the weekend and couldnt get 3G (by the boardwalk).
I went next door to the sales guys and asked them to order me a vdsl modem. They were like :wtf: . hehe.

They are busy laying fibre all the way up to my SDC and about 50m past it... I'm guessing this is for the MSAN..? I saw Telkom techies around the workmen, so it must be them.

Okay, so they cancelled my order. The wholesale system I guess doesnt know what its doing yet. /sigh

Was wondering how you could order it now.....
I am a telkom wholesaler. I have access to the systems that allow me to order lines, upgrade lines, check lines, etc etc.
Anyways, Ive tried to place an order for a 20MB line. Will see if that gets cancelled as well. Dont know why the feasibility system allows me to order if its not feasible...
