42" 1080 LCD

Anyone have a few models I can look at?

Currently hae a 42" and although I like the 40" Bravia, I don't want to lose that 2" - so it needs to be 42". Perhaps a Philips?

Get the Phillips 42 inch, I got mine from Game for R12500 stood there for twenty minutes comparing the Phillips and Bravia standing next to each other, as amazing as the Bravia looks the Philips looks better plus I heard the Bravia gives problems, Hi Fi Corp is selling the 100HZ Phillips 42 Inch with LCD 3 tech but its about R16000( I think) havent seen what it looks like.

Are you referring to 1080p? If so, you would have to sit between 1.43m and 2.01m from the screen according to this carlton bale calculator to get the full effect of 1080p.

Well the main reason for the set is the image retention / burning ... but since I'm buying now, I'd like 1080i/p - even I can't see it

I may move house in 3 years and I'd be closer ...
