I want to buy a FHD LCD TV this weekend at Game.

I have to decide between the

LG 42" FHD LCD : R5499
or the
Logic 46" FHD LCD : R5999

I know LG is the better brand but I like the 46" size of the Logic.
Logic has a 36 months guarantee compared to the 12 months of the LG.

Any suggestions to help me decide ?

Thanks

Go and take an xbox or something like that and test both and choose the one that looks better to you.

I've looked at the Logic and personally would not have an issue buying one myself. But with the CPA now in place, if your Logick goes in 6mths, then you can get a refund, if not, well it should last till you want to replace it again.

Get the 46". If you don't like it, take it back within 7 days! Easy peasy. I'm a Plasma freak, but am going to get the 47" 100 hz LED HiSense (when i get my bonus) going usually around R8k mark.

Depends what the TV's for.

For gaming/movies/HD stuff/PC, Logik will be fine. LG would be better for TV. Wouldn't get one myself though.

But for TV/sport/gaming/SD content, plasma is the best. 42" for R4,999, 50" for R6,999.

Strictly gaming for me. Have my plasma for tv / hd / etc. but my 32" HdReady doesn't cut it anymore for my PS3. So it's a gaming tv i am looking for. Don't worry PP, I am still a Plasma Fan.

One warning on Logics their viewing angle is not great, not sure if that is just the one I've got for the room but it is horrible on the sides.

LCD's have a narrower viewing angle than Plasma. Not sure of LED though. I think the angle is 140 degrees effective viewing.

I know that, I've had an LCD for awhile now, it's just that the Logic's viewing angle is actually worse then others, even a Sinotec.

.. even a Sinotec.
What happened to Sinotec anyway? They used to be highly recommended.
I think it was due to their prices back then. Now that the prices have fallen sharply, everyone will go for big brands I suppose.

They still around, but the last I heard there was a change and their reliability went down
