49' Black Friday TV

Any suggestions for a decent TV below the 6k region. price range is 5k to 6.5k. Helping out two friends. One with a 5k budget and another with a 6.5k budget. Dream TV would be a 4k android TV with HDR and any other extra goodness but even if not android tv what is a decent budget tv to get in those price targets?

Android tv is not a must but preferable and if not then a decent looking tv + mi box will do the trick. I have heard that smart tv's aren't that smart so I should not base my buying decision on that.

I was at Makro earlier to look at TVs in that price range.

What was interesting is that the Skyworth remote works on the Sinotec TV as well

How are Hisense TV's?
I remember reading some solid reviews some time ago but then seen some not so good reviews lately.

I am looking at these but not sure which to go for... is it worth it to fork out the extra $ for the Samsung (which is also QLED) or does the Hisense do the job?

My current TV is not smart and I have a TV Box.
Can a smart TV truly replace a TV Box? Can apps be sideloaded on a smart TV?
