4G/LTE or 3G when out in nowhere

I'm trying to find some ideas for boosting signal strength when driving possibly through areas of no/low cell coverage. The goal is to stop the car, setup the Yagi on a tripod and go from there.

Could those in the know tell me if this will accomplish anything?

The aim is to connect the yagi's single sma to the pigtail adapter and plug both of those into the Huawei's external antennas.

My questions is, will this give me an perceivable or possible boost of reception or is the portable Huawei modem not really strong enough to make use of the Yagi?

It may or may not.

Imagine two people at quite a distance trying to talk to each other, although they yell they cant really hear each other. Now give one of them a megaphone.

The one person can hear but not the other, that antenna is a megaphone.

That Hauwei modem does not have an external antenna connection. Not sure if similar devices have any. You may be better off getting a normal sized router with proper external connection and powering it with a UPS or directly from the car battery.
There are distance limits on the cell technologies, i.e. you could get actually a decent signal but they won't allow you to connect from too far.
A Yagi is generally not wide-band. Look at maybe Poynting, 3G/4G/5G wide band antennas.

I would recommend these guys https://poynting.tech/urban-rural-antennas/
Used them to get LTE out about 10Km from Mooinooi in the North West province. Went from no signal to a few mbps. I know many people who used these with telkom fixed LTE also.

Though my first recommendation would be to just have a Vodacom and MTN sim with you, your mileage may vary but I have yet to travel to a place where neither my Vodacom nor my MTN sim had a useable connection.

Can supply a unit designed for mobile use, with antenna's that are designed for in vehicle use

Wherever you go, there you still are.

Besides, humans are signal-sapping meatbags and can therefore cause signal interference. (So travel lightly - just lose the extra passengers, and lose that boep-ing beer gut!)

Lol why would I ever want to travel somewhere alone. Even with just one more person ide be stressed lol. I need a group to constantly interact with.
