So with Black Friday and all this jazz coming up I have decided to fix or replace my Projector in my Home Theatre room.

Its lamp has seen another bring light and it won't be returning. It’s a Samsung's SP-A600B

So the one option I have is to simply replace the Projector Bulb. The issue I have with this is, It's one of the first 1080P projectors, the brightness of this projector SUUUUUUCKS. 1,000 ANSI Lumens, So the room needs to be very dark for it to look good and this has turned out to be a real kak exercise.

The other issue I have is I want 4K……

Next option is a LCD/LED TV, I understand I won't get a 100”screen anymore but honestly speaking, These 65” panels look really good.

I have seen a few of these 65”OLED demo's (or whatever you call them) and the image is absolutely breathtaking. Then a fast scene comes along and it jitters like a Mofo. Now I have to be very clear on this. This jitter k@k will not work for me. This is the exact reason I still have a 42”plasma in my bedroom. It never jitters.

So If im looking at a 65” panel that does not jitter, what are we looking at?, Does this even exist?

Next question,

I have not seen a 4K projector in action. Are they worth it?

I have been looking at this one

The other downside of a projector is the lamp life. But I get a good 5 to 6 years. What I like about a projector is I can easily move it around. And there is no jitter/stutter/haking.
Im going to be very pissed if I pay +- 30k for this C1 thing and then it stutters....

I have never experienced experienced this jitter you speak of on my OLED.

Generally this occurs with 24p content like with some movies but the LG processing handles it great. I think the demo on the tv is 30fps if I'm not mistaken. If these TV's had any soft of jitter, then I doubt they would make great gaming or movie TV's as there is a lot of fast content it both. Was it only the demo that was playing that you saw jitter on?

There are a lot of settings to combat judder. I can't really think of a point where it bothered me but it could be me being just not as susceptible to it.

HDTVTest talking about the settings in the C1:

He also talks about the settings to improve them here, but it may be much the same as above:

Comment on reddit explaining it nicely, but what just an expansion on what FoxFire already said:
Might be worthwhile grabbing some 24p content on a flash drive and then testing it on a demo TV at a store if you are really worried about it.

I'm not a fan of projectors, they are not for me, so can't comment on that side.

There is also a thread here about the C1 / CS: https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/is-lg-c1-the-best.1193996/
