Ok, here's what happened,
It started off about 2 weeks ago, there was a storm and after the storm I started having problems with my ADSL line. When I picked up the phone, I could here a lot of interference and that started making an impact on my ADSL speed.
Don't get me wrong, many storms had passed before and everything was perfect, including my ADSL runing at 4mb, but after this storm, all hell broke loose
At first I just ignored it, thinking that it would probably sort itself out after a day or two, but things just got worse, so I lodged a complaint with Telkom. On my 3rd attempt, they logged my fault and after they had fixed it, my line was perfectly clear and back to normal. After another few days passed, I noticed that my downloads, etc. weren't going full speed, so I ran various speed tests only to find bad results and that my line was now syncing at 2mb

Then I thought that maybe they had to do that to get my line to work correctly, but if so, how come my line worked perfectly before this storm and interference.
So I called in again hoping they would return me to my original 4mb speed, only to be told that they can't do anything about it and I cannot log a fault or anything as on their servers, I am still apparently logged as a 4mb line.
So now I'm stuck with this fluctuating 1mb/2mb line which I can do nothing about.
Yes, I may sound like an idiot thinking 2mb is bad, but I'm sure nobody likes to be downgraded in speed, especially here in S.A.
So I am really hoping that somebody could give me some advice for this situation, and if they happen to be a Telkom employee that could resolve my problem, even better
Thanx
