And that is why I said the switch over and handling of this is being done incorrectly and not handled properly by the ISPs as they are not explaining the effects properly and not communicating it to everyone.
You are being billed R899 because your line is a 10mb irrispective of what your package details says. Point case close. If you want to pay R769 then simply phone and have the line downgraded to 4mb.
Notwithstanding how this should have been handled better by the ISPs those are the facts. Phone, downgrade and be happy with lower price.
Mweb already explained and said they kept the lines bumped to 10mb as some customers might want to upgrade to 10mb data due to reduced prices. The choice is the customers. Excersise it and be done with it.
Easy.
There is no R899 10 Mbit product offered from MWEB. I can't say what I am being billed, but as per their own system, and not an anon user like you, with all due respects, unless you are the MWEB CEO in drag, they have me pegged at 4Mbit all inclusive for R899.
Secondly, that's obviously not a FREE upgrade by TELKOM, because if I stay at that speed, I pay more than 4Mbit users. I suspect MWEB gets this extra cash, right? Not Telkom.
I know it the world of cognitive dissonance free and pay extra can occur at the same time, but not here.
Go back to my first response, and see what my account is called and see that in Jan 2014 I am being billed more than 4Mbit account holders.
" irrispective of what your package details says. " - yeah I guess freaking product names and prices are irrespective. Man just go.
