anyone know where in cape town i can get a 4pin > 6pin pci-express molex thingamajigger? I've been looking around a bit and everywhere i go I get blank stares or "hey I found one - it's attached to a psu tho, cough up 600 bucks" from salespeople

upgraded to x1900xt... and now i cant even spend my weekend benching :(

I tried to look for one once and went to like a million shops, but none had one. Don't even think they know what I was talking about. Doesn't your card come with one?

I had this same problem earlier this year - if you trawl through the threads you'll fine a very similar one from me. Ask whoever sold you the card to supply you with one, as far as I know most cards should come with one in the box, and whoever sold it to you should be able to find one.

Otherwise, if you have a bit of spare plastic molex housing (specifically a 20-pin motherboard connector) that you are able to cut up, you can make one yourself... There exist tutorials on the internet for this - thing is this means yo need to have a non-working ATX PSU.

You could always bite the bullet and buy a new PSU, which would help in powering that card!!
