Its a GSM handset so it probably will, but its only on unconfirmed release date which is probably why they not displaying it.
No sense bragging about a phone that's has no set release for any country let alone out backwater joint.
Although i must say its a pretty unimpressive phone considering what ever other manufacturer is releasing and its still not a QNX handset so its nothing more than a spit and polish.

And when Berry release QNX phones in the next 6 - 12 months you'll all be stuck with your OS6-facelift phones for another year.

Which is why i migrated to android so i can have more freedom, if QNX is as impressive as its supposed to be then i will return to a nice BB
BMW uses QNX in their iDrive, it never had a good review.
It wasn't developed properly. QNX as an OS is awesome.

Too little too late, RIM is dead. There is no way they can compete against the likes of iOS and Android.
Changing the icons a little and making the OS a little snappier (when the hardware is twice as fast as before) should not entitle them to call this a new OS.

Go look at the review comments around the web. people are already saying that the new BB phone/OS combination is looking fresher than Android. It's not going to take over the world, but this is certainly the pinnacle of the BBOS we've had for the past 10 years.
(Yeah, it's not perfect, and I am still undecided on which OS to go for next - Android, WP7 or BB7.)
Fresher than a fully customisable Android OS? I cant see that.
Its standard OS upgrade nothing special. Theres alot better than this BB.
Although it is an upgrade and BB users are blinded by free data, those people will be satisfied ... for a while.

May be fresher, but the next line of droids will far surpass them, i read an article yesterday about a new android phone with a dual core 1.5ghz cpu and 4gb ram 8gb rom with a 4.X" screen (cant remember), RIM is essentialy being backwards competative, they releasing new hardware upgrades once the competition is preparing to make a new major jump leaving that "upgraded hardware" in the dust.
BB might be losing ranks in international countries where people do not have to worry about things like data or there are hotspots wherever you go, BlackBerry is one of the most popular brands in South Africa because of the data inclusive and intergration - sure iOS and Android may be better but its basically a toy in comparison to a BlackBerry which was built for business use and seemless messaging intergration.
Honestly I dont even remember the last time I logged into MXit, with BB its just so much better for messaging and almost everyone has one now days

True, but with the current level of abuse with a measurable percentage of users downloading in excess of 1gb per day and some even up to 12gb was the highest i heard, its not going to be too long before the unlimited becomes limited especially with the current dropping in data rates, personally i spend about R25-R30 per month on data, its actually cheaper for me to not have a blackberry.
I'll have to go check out the comments and link to them. What the comments said was that they would move from their current Android devices back to these new devices. Fresher or not, that says a lot. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; Android is not for everyone - too many customisation options, too much tinkering. For you and me it may be perfect (once we've "personalised" our devices), but for my wife (and the average joe) BB comes with everything you need to be able to interact socially.

The free data point is becoming moot with how cheap data is becoming.
I'm not even going to get into the "I download 8gb a day on my BB" debate because its wrong. Its no surprise that its now so painful to use facebook or google maps on a BB nowadays.
Whatsapp has completely removed the BBM adavantage so this is also a moot point (I've never used mxit because I'm in my 30's and it would make me a pedophile).
While I wouldn't disagree that a blackberry is a great phone I would however argue that its a poor smartphone.

At R60/m BIS is still the best solution for most. When one moves to Android/iOS the need for data goes way up (I've seen this in my own case and many others) so the data cost becomes substantial. I use an ADSL-wi-fi connection about half of the day but the during the other half I easily use 2 GB/m on Android/iOS. On BlackBerry no matter how much I use I pay R60 (and that is if you even pay for it because BIS is worked into many contracts these day)s.
In my experience BIS is very slow and I cannot do much on it, but for most people it will be good enough.

You need to take better control of your droid, i struggle to use the data bundle that i do buy. I got a nice firewall blocking all non-essentials from doing crap in the background, at most i use 2mb a day and thats like some super busy day, normally is like half a meg.
