How can one run an SMME that requires lots of data transfer? If I want to upload video footage to a server in the USA. Lets say +-16GB for every hour of footage. (Sony XDCAM HD runs at about 35Mbps) - You do the maths. Instead I would have to send the footage on a HDD. South Africa is falling behind and with prices like these we are losing out on business opportunities that we have not even thought of yet. :mad:

More than 30% more expensive than buying 10x10GB SAOL accounts.
 
IS 512k Uncapped, Shaped during the day, Unshaped afterhours - on Openweb R999 (if i'm not mistaking) Not great at all for gaming, Fantastic for Torrents

Compared to the shaped it is cheaper, but as I understand this is unshaped, so still more expensive than 10x10GB SAOL unshaped accounts.

If it's unshaped, it's a good deal. But all I see is "uncapped", which it's not, and "fibre", over which all SAIX accounts run. Where does it say "unshaped"?
 
Says so on the website: "The product uses SAIX bandwidth and is truly uncapped and unshaped with extremely low latency".

EDIT: though I can't find the link to that specific page on their website anywhere. It was in the OP until that was edited out.

They probably made a mistake. If it were unshaped, they'd definitely state as much. If it is unshaped, it is also well below cost price.
 
Technically the "uncapped" accounts offered by WW are uncapped. Uncapped means that once you reach your cap you will not be able to surf. Well in his case that is not the case. Maybe we would rather see it our way. What I am trying to say here is that maybe we would rather see the term "Unshaped and not uncapped" but, WW's accounts are in fact uncapped. Throttled yes, but that unfortunately is, at this point in time, not on anyone else's hands but the incompetent gorillas in the mist. :D
 
Well, if its technically a Uncapped account, i don't think they can use that term because Uncapped means that you can do what you wish with no restrictions. There is a restriction in place, so perhaps say its a '@50gig throttled unshaped account!'
