Yea, about as ready as we were for the Russian team (and some other) that we got to come all the way out here just to have their matches cancelled, have them pay their own accommodation, food and transport which was supposed to be taken care of.......... and then send them back home.

Today, I gather. Somehwere in the E. Cape I think. PE perhaps. Saw it on the news this evening. Wasn't really taking much notice.

Pretty certain they said Russian. There was another foreign team involved as well but can't recall who they were. The chap they interviewed looked shellshocked and sounded like a Russian.
The soccer fraternity must be cringing right now. This is bound to have serious repercussions. Very embarrassing for all the 'footy' fans.

It must have been some league team, definetely not a Russian national team, and I doubt they were coming to play our national team as we are to face Zambia today. It must have been one of those non FIFA sanctioned matches.
I mean we have hosted the Nations Cup, England, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, you name it ... why would we hash this one up?
