checkers had the R1 sim but the system wasnt online. Went to a telkom store was much quicker. Your id and proof of your address ( a bank statement works also). Thats it pretty much. I dont think I even paid for the sim card at telkom.

Go to Pakistan shop and get an already Ricad sim for R10 they also give you R5 airtime
