Like the comment in the article:
There might not be enough food and potable water to sustain the Earth's ever growing population, but at least everyone will be able to tweet about it.
 
So, instead of working for food and shelter people are more and more working for airtime and data. One must then assume the supply of food, water and shelter are well under control, all kids well fed and educated. World seems to doing better than I thought.

Activations = new phones/tablets with unique hardware id's that is Google certified gets registered. All the none OHA phones and devices are excluded.

everyone worries about apple controlling our lives with its software and limitations.

Google seems to be taking over everything we do.
basically our lives our internet, email, phone, calender. contacts, social, etc etc

Anyway android FTW - I've been assimilated

I think its more like we know what Google want with the info, they need it to sell Ads.
We can only guess what Facebook and the others want with our info.
