500g ext hdd R500 ???

did anyone else see this special on tv yesterday....aa friend bought two! when i went to game now they said the price is R799 WTF someone please explain this to me .....whats the special and on which drive
 
i thought so too BUT my friends boss paid R500 ! and he bought two...other people saw the add last night as well and confirmed the price...game messed up somewere and im really pissed off now :(....i ran like 8 blocks t get the last four drives only to be told they not R500....
 
well they dont have to stick to the price on the advert as the price is only confirmed at the till, i think their is a thread somewhere on myadsl about it, the prices advertised is not the price ul pay ect.
 
Well it is R799 according to their specials....

its a R300 difference ! im gonna hurt someone if i find out they made a mistake and now dont have stock for me !
 
yes i saw the specials but the tv advert was different ...R500 for 500g and people have bought them at that price ! i can confirm that now ! the store in cresta confirmed the price as well R500 but sold out ....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

they will say they are sold out if they make a mistake and take products off to stop misundestanding commoun retail trick :)
 
I just went and got one and the price sticker on the HDD said R799 and save R500 but the advert above only says save R300... Weird...
