50hz vs 100hz

Hi all,
I am currently looking for a new TV.
I like the LG 47LM5800 or the LM4600
the only main difference i can see is the 50hz VS 100hz.

I been checking a bit and still uncertain.
I don't watch live TV at all, only use XBMC setup,and maybe live internet channels.

I also have an XBOX 360.

Please advise, i see there is a great special on the 4600 at Makro (R6500), 2 of my colleagues have it and extremely happy.

I'd go 100hz
 
does it worth almost R1500 difference in the price?
 
As far as I'm concerned the only benefit is gaming and perhaps animated media. I don't know why anyone would watch movies/series with 100Hz motion enhancement, makes it look terrible.

Then you only have yourself to blame. The motion enhancement features ( e.g. blur , judder, LED scanning) on modern mid-range & above TVs are highly configurable, leaving it on the (usually aggressive) out-of-the-box defaults is just ignorance.

Yeah, its one of those features that if you haven't had it and got used to it, you probably wont miss it much. But if you have, then the differences can become quite perceivable.

For me reduction/elimination of (mostly lateral) panning judder is the most apparent. Some content/scenes (mostly 24p movie, but also rate-converted 50p TV) exhibit horrible choppy judder on a 50Hz.
