550 watt psu enough for this 7950...?

Hi all i would like to know if this 550 watt psu is enough to power this set up.

Haven't yet put them all together yet in , still bran new sealed.
Unsure because i saw the gpu has minimum requirement at 500 watts.

The VS550 is corsairs lower end range of power supplys and although it is enough to power your system, in terms of gaming I wouldnt recommend it. For gaming I would try to look for a 80+ bronze certified psu because it generates allot less heat and the components are much more stable and of higher quality, have a look at these

It depends on the power supply. If it's a decent brand like Corsair or Antec, then yes.

If it's a no name brand, then no.

The VS series aren't very good PSUs...but the 7950 +12 volt current rating requirement is 30A for a reference card, and your 12V rail has 41-42A. I see the card you got has stock clocks, so that PSU will be fine without overclocking considering you only have a single HDD. Consider upgrading to a better PSU. As the above post says, stick with Corsair or Antec.

SKUs usually put high psu wattage requirements for their GPUs because they know many people opt out for crap PSUs like from coolermaster or thermaltake, and then wonder why their PC restarts every time they try to play a game.
