56 towers down!

My iburps was not functioning most of yesterday with a lot of disconnects leading up to this the week before. I could not access local sites, but had access to most international sites? MBB was one of the sites I could not access via Iburst, but if I switch to my E220 everything is fine. I have never had any problems with Iburst and I subscribe via @lantic to circumvent Iburst’s useless accounts department, but if they cannot keep me connected they must furck off and rather do us all a favor by closing shop.

Yesterday, from 14:00, iBurst had peering issues with various sites, for example I couldn't access mweb.co.za, xe.com or cnn.com while sites like fnb.co.za, google.com and fansub.tv
worked. When I did a traceroute to xe.com, it worked - it went via Hong Kong then Tokyo
of all places to XE.com but XE.com wouldn't itself load.

The MWEB iBurst liaison guy told me that it had been a problem since the morning. The problem seems to have been fixed by this morning.

Had to use Vodacom 3G on cell phone to access email.

I had the same problem on Friday nite but Saturday is seemed to return to normal. Was not impressed at all and I hope they solved the problem.

Been 14 days officially without IBurst.
Can't say I am missing them too much (after nearly 3 years)
Moving to ADSL was the only sensible option.

hmmmm, where to go and what to do. I used iBurst for two years and eventually gave up and went ADSL. Now, 1 year later ready for iBurst again.
Cant connect faster than 2mb and cant stay connected for more than 1 hour at a time and no, my fricking port does not need to be fricking reset again, we have already established that 14 times in the last week.

Jhbgirl, I feel your pain.
