576i or 576p for LCD?

Hi.

Im working on a project involving YCrCb data being converted to a PAL 576p/i standard. Im not actually sure if an LCD uses p or i? Specifically im interested in a TEAC portable DVD player LCD. Can someone please advise me on this?
