I heard somewhere that a person can upgrade their Capped limit to 6 GB for a nominal extra charge of around R150 - R200. Is this true and if so which ISP's provide this service?
Any ISP (including Telkomsa) offers the "service" indirectly. It simply involves buying another username and password - that gives you another 3 gigs of traffic. The cost is anywhere from R199 (http://www.baspnet.net/) to close to R300 for an additional ADSL subscription, depending on which ISP you choose.
Unfortuanately Baspnet prices just went up by 30%!!!
As telkom just let them know on 01 Feb that the prices were going up.
Nice of Telkom to kill there competitors via the resale of the adsl
Now they are not only getting money from the line but the ISP as well. I imagine they waited to raise they adsl isp price but then thought they would loose all their customers to their competition, so what do they do, just raise the competition prices too.
Now if Sentech will just hurry and put up more hotspots so we can tell telkom put their product where the sun doesnt shine.
Sentech where is your marketing, 90% of South African business dont know about you, make a plan dammit.
