6 popular generator brands in SA

South African households looking for a reliable generator to provide power during load-shedding will find several brands available with capacities suited for a wide range of energy demands.

While a modest inverter-and-battery system is a great option for small and medium households, running power-hungry appliances like washing machines, tumbledryers, and stoves can only be done on larger systems.

So the auntie that needs to run a generator for her medical equipment should rather suffocate and die because the noise bothers you?
The Auntie can get solar. If not then she can go live on a farm and run a generator all night long.

What if the auntie cannot afford solar?
I have solar and a generator. Sometimes if my neighbors party into the wee early hours of the morning and keep me from getting my much needed beauty sleep, I would start my generator and let it run for hours the next morning from 7am while they are hungover and trying to sleep it off.

Then the Auntie can die for all I care. One person shouldn't inconvenience 10+ households.

You sound petty doing that to your neighbors, You need to get along with your neighbours.

RYOBI better than MAC AFRIC?

Ryobi wins with warranty.

That's cold. You should care more about your fellow citizens.

Or duel fuel options? LPG shelf life is indefinite compared to 6 months for petrol afaik.
Realistically though this is going to be about as important as the expiry date on banana bread.

You know you're going to finish it pretty quickly. It's not as though load shedding happens only every few months like the good old days.
