Don't take this the wrong way, but you should rename this article "Six buzzwords that will amount to nothing in 2014", and do a piece titled "Buzzwords that died quietly in 2013, after being hyped as the next big thing by sensationalist journalists".

You should include "sensationalist analysts" along with the "sensationalist journalists".

One doesn't need "big data" to prove that both are rarely correct in their predictions ...

"Cloud" = offsite server, ideally with multiple redundant physical locations. IT stuff employs these BS buzzwords in an effort to hype things up.

SA needs one of these nuclear power stations - surely it should read watts minus the mega... Medupi's nameplate capacity is only 4 800MW - definitely not enough for Google.
