My modem is not working, I'm using an E220 modem with a vodacom sim. There is data on the sim. When i want to connect it refuses. The modem can't receive any sms's or send any as well.

When I try and connect throught the network connections it gives me the error mesaage of an 619 error. How do I fix this problem.

Has it worked before? Are you sure you still have a data bundle or airtime on the SIM?

googled error 619

KB Home > Dial Up Errors > Error 619 : The port is disconnected.

1. Reboot.

2. Check the your name and password

3. Make sure that no other programs are using your modem. Fax software, Supervoice, etc...

4. Ctrl-Alt-Delete,Task Manager, if you see RNAAPP loaded, end task on it.

or

Error 619

1. Reboot.

2. Make sure that no other programs are using your modem. Fax software, Supervoice, etc...

3. Ctrl-Alt-Delete, if you see RNAAPP loaded, then go to the RNAAPP fix page.

unsure what this all might mean...

...if you are using try a system restore

It has worked before and yes there is still data on the sim.

Might be a local problem to your area/tower. So if you can test if from a different location try that otherwise call 155 and see what they have to say.
