So here is some stats on the performance of a nvidia 6200 TurboCache PCI Express card compared to other cards. This card can use the computers system memory if it needs to, but I doubt it would increase the performance much.

Biostar nVidia GeForce 6200le 128MB 64bit (Core: 350 Memory: 533):
3DMark2001SE: 6128
3DMark2003: 1429
3DMark2005: 670
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 28.55fps average

While the CSS framerate is lower than even a FX 5200, at least it runs the game in DX9, instead of DX8 like the 5200, 5900xt and 9250.

Comparisons:
AOpen nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128MB 64bit (Core: 250 Memory: 320):
3DMark2001SE: 3984
3DMark2003: 905
3DMark2005: 231
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 32.69fps average

Gigabyte nVidia GeForce FX 5900XT 128MB 256bit (Core: 300 Memory: 700):
3DMark2001SE: 15011
3DMark2003: 5316
3DMark2005: 987
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 92.79fps average

Asus nVidia GeForce 6600 128MB 128bit (Core: 300 Memory: 500):
3DMark2001SE: 13384
3DMark2003: 5075
3DMark2005: 2033
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 80.12fps average

Leadtek nVidia GeForce 6800LE 128MB 256bit (Core: 300 Memory: 700):
3DMark2001SE: 17552
3DMark2003: 7107
3DMark2005: 2644
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 92.21fps average

Gigabyte ATI Radeon 128MB 128bit (Core: 240 Memory: 400):
3DMark2001SE: 7051
3DMark2003: 1198
3DMark2005: None
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 35.36fps average

Nice. 6200LE seems to suck just a little bit less than FX5200, but at least it has hardware accelerated MPEG2 playback :)

I want two for my new Core2Duo x6800 SLI rig:p

Wouldnt it be better to just get a board that has an onboard 6150 IGP? It has pretty similar performance actually, maby a bit worse but alot cheaper im shure.

Then you can upgrade to a real card sometime without having spent money on this.

So 3d mark isn't the best benchmark for how its gonna run games. It also gets higher scores cause it can support more stuff the old cards didn't. And you can see how cards like a 5900xt annihalites it in CSS. Just have onboard instead.

I have onboard 6100, using this R350 card so I can run 3 screens altogether :)

Just thoughts people should know, and like I say the reason it is even worse than the 5200 in CSS is cause it runs it in DX9, I bet it would be faster if I force it to DX8 (still need to figure out how).

I see. Well maybe it could beat an FX5200 if forced to DX8 because an fx5200 I would say is probably THE worst card in the world (for its money at least).

No Alex, a 9600ct IS the worst card in the world.

And im sooo looking forward to my 6150! ftw... but seriouly it will probably be better than my card at running Warcraft, which is lame I know.

My 6100 is even worse than the 6200le, I dont think a 6150 will be much better.

Biostar nVidia motherbaord with onboard GeForce 6100 128MB:
3DMark2001SE: 4330
3DMark2003: 1177
3DMark2005: 544
Counter Strike Source Video Stress Test: 17.52fps average

I play css fine on my 6100. I have no lag at all. But then again I am running with everything on lowest details and dx 7 features only :/

If it works it works, even if it does look worse than cs 1.6

-dxlevel 70 or (80,81,90,95)

Type that in the console and restart the game. Then go into video options and software dxlevel should be at 7 or watever you set it. Also set all the advanced graphics details to lowest. There are plenty more tweaks in this guide: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=459667

I run almost everything on lowest and can play full dashur server and never go bellow 40 fps :D

Such performance is why unified shader is so important (other than for playing games with eye popping graphics at the high end)
With an 8100 or 8200 even you should get 5700Ultra or 5900XT performance in CCS.

Unfortunately with S3, SiS, Intel. ATI n Nvidia competing for the cheapest IGP in the world performance may very well get worse :( Cause in all honesty how much tech can you get for a m/b that's supposed to retail for $19 :o
