64K when capped is a dirty rotten lie #!*%$

but u get portable internet with iburst and i must say i have not had that bad service - its crap but acceptable i suppose - not many options
 
64K when capped is tricky but not dirty

I have gotta give a mediocre appology to iBurst, I phoned and told my capped woes and was rewarded with an antenae. I mounted said antenae and am happily cruising well beyond 64k speeds. To all the people in a dark green area of coverage with full lights getting sh!te speeds, the aerial is free! that's right free! and it's not the stupid hockey puck its decent.

Another good thing was to have the concept of uncapped interiburst reaffirmed! (unofficially of course)

And on that note everyone get your capped a$$es to the iburst dc++ hub at ibust.kicks-ass.net

Nab, I wish the uncapped interiburst thing worked - came into hub and tried doing some uploading - but folks were getting 500bytes from me - which is crazy.. Got some extra b/w now, but Im loath to use it up in experimenting while 'not capped'..
 
The interiBurst is most definitely working! I was getting 10k minimum per user in the hub and was uploading even faster. All we need is for more people to join. Old ShaunG promised last month that there would never be disconnects again so if any of the old boys are still around don't be shy.

its more effective when you're not capped so you have nothing to lose, BTW another discovery you guys should try implement, if you make the traffic look like DNS requests... it goes full speed, capped, uncapped whatever it goes full speed. Think on that.
 
Damnit Beavis, everyone left again. I am feeling desperate here beggin people to join this hub. What's the story, if ur capped why wouldn't you join the hub? Everyone comes in on their own and leave because it's empty, if everyone stayed there would be at least 20 people by now. c'mon sucka fools
 
hehehehh you said 'beggin' dude, thats so gnarly! No but seriously, hang in there, there's a lot of people who're either trying to conserve their 3 gigs, or who have actually forked out extra to buy more b/w - and who are nervous about using up the extra, and ending up back on the capped service sooner rather than later..
 
Don't forget - Capping is done to improve service quality.
i.e. When you've downloaded your fair share, you get capped, and everybody is happy.

But then, WHY can you just buy more ?
That completely buggers up the above.
 
lol stoke, you spoke urself into an infinte loop. Don't let that whole "capping is to improve the quality" propaganda get to you. Every technician at iBurst will tell you it's a breeze to add more users to each tower. The sticky wicket is buying international bandwidth from tel#!@$ and sharing that amongst subscribers!
