Hi guys,

So I have yet another question: got it working that my notebook uses the 6680 as dial-up modem. Now I am trying to setup my PDA (HP HX4700) to use the 6680 via Bluetooth as well. The problem comes in that the PDA tries to authenticate with a username and password each time, not like the Notebook that connects without those two.

Anyone got this to work?

Thanks

- Never mind, got it to work! :D

Sorry - slightly off topic I guess :)

Does your phone record data usage from your PDA in the call log?
My 6630 connects, and the PDA can use the connection as expected. But the GRPS/3G data connection icon on the phone keeps flashing (does not go solid like when used from the PC), and the data usage is not recorded in the log.

Connection Manager also does not show an active connection, even though I manage to use it perfectly.

(Have tried this from a few PDA's, so I reckon it must be a phone "feature".)

I had it connected for a short time, with the solid arrows underneath the 3G signal bar, and yes, the data transfer was shown in the Log. Maybe it is the way the PDA sets up the connection?

Which PDA are you using? My hx4700 uses the 6630 perfectly and does show the connection in connection manager. I have other issues with the log on the 6630, but they aren't restricted to the PDA.

For the actual tracking of data used, I find that a 3rd party software app like Spb GPRS Monitor works very well.

Its the hx2750.

Just tried doing it via the BT Phonemanager, and set my phone as the 6600 - same thing. The PDA records data sent, the phone doesn't recognise the connection as being active.

Oh well - not a serious issue - guess I need to go and do a bit of "surfing"...

veethree, what firmware version is your 6630? (Mine's at 3.45.113 (04-01-05) - probably not the latest...)
