6800GS needing CPR....If Possible

Hey Guys

I have a 6800GS which i recently unlocked with Riva tuner to a 6800GT...
It worked... I was happy... till the next day atleast......

Found my screen full of vertical lines...and when it gets past the windows xp screen the lines get worse and it freezes...if i use VGA mode it works...but its VGA!!!
a friend said i might have blown a pipeline or two...

Is there anyway i can get it working...somehow

sounds like the BIOS on the card might be poked.. in which case it's not looking good at all.

If the card is still under warranty and you don't tell them what you did they will swap it out for you.

I bought it from a friend... so no warranty stuff....

Lock the pipelines you unlocked using rivatuner

i did i think its one of the originals

try locking the individual original pipelines one at a time, maybe you will find which one it is, if this is the problem. Then keep the faulty one disabled, you will lose performance but at least it might still work. Then again, if you lock the faulty one and can still keep one of the extra ones unlocked, you will end up with the same performance.

Damn it still wont work.... are you trying to say that all the pipelines are screwed
