Yep for about the same performance as a 6800GT that is incredible!

Yeah but what are their prices

And they do compare it to the X800XL (A high end card). The 6800GS is priced as a mid range card so it is a fair comparison.
Me senses an angry ATI fan.

Sorry guy but you complain because Nvidia have introduced an awesome card at an awesome price and it is a newer gen than the 6800GT.

The 6800GS is cheap card with great performance. It costs less than a X800XL and performs just as good and better in some tests.

Dont complain to us, complain to ATI for not having a card to compete.

I am thinking of selling my 6800GT and buying 2 6800GS's.

I just took a look at the driverheaven link and it seems off. I think I am going to trust Xbitlabs on this one.

The 6800GS gives the same performance as a 6800GT for a fraction of the price!

$249 or roughly R1600. But they will likely be found for less.

I think for that price nothing comes close.

Even you being an ATI fan would have to agree. I actually hope ATI brings out something similar to drive the price down even further.

comes to the equivalent of: 1,477.15 ZAR, including a copy of Farcry!
