I'm paying telkom about R250 a month for 3GB (it was 6GB up until about a month ago)

But I see you can get 6GB from Sainet for R250 a month??

http://sainet.co.za/HOMEDSL.HTM

Am I missing something? That means R500 for 12GB?

Do you need to pay the "setup" fee for every account, or just once when you become their client?

I just check and im not sure but that is kinda cheap!

Don't use their site for signing up! It's unsecured. Plus they charge you when you go over the cap. And it's all on debit order. If somebody steels your account details, you could get a massive bill.

I also am now contemplating of dropping Telkom ISP again in favour of maybe Cybersmart.co.za

R125 for 3Gb (384) and top up at around R185 for 3Gb (why it is more expensive they will only know...)

Some other alternatives one should know about, I rarely go over 10Gb a month.

Must say that 10Gb (http://sainet.co.za/HOMEDSL.HTM) at R499 looks very tempting indeed!

I know it does the 6GB is just what I need. Maybe I should ask for a trial account!

I'm just a bit skittish on the fact that there may be a chance that they will let you roll over you limit without letting you know or capping you, could be quite expensive if you are caught unawares!

Hi,

I use Sainet and have no complaints with it. I pay via EFT, so I am unsure as to your debit order statement (Cybersmart also require debit order unless you pay 6 months in advance).

You simply inform them to be hard-capped and you don't get overcharged. My account lasts until the last week or so of the month at most before I have to switch to a top-up ISP. I have been with them for more than 6 months and this has always been the case.

I am not sure as to where one can even sign up on the site - I ordered mine from them by means of e-mail. Do you have a link for online sign-up?

10GB SAIX account @ openweb.co.za costs R459

So I vote for openweb

You can get 10Gb (SAIX shaped) for R490 at WebAfrica.

Hi,

I think there is a misunderstanding here - they charge R449.00 per month for a 10 gigabyte ADSL account.

So I vote for Sainet ;)

I've got the R250 6GB SAIX account from Sainet, and I haven't had any problems. Mine came hardcapped by default, but otherwise just email them and ask them to hardcap you.

I use debit order, but I'm pretty sure you can use EFT too.
