Morning all :)

Quick question for the 6Mbps users. What is your upload speed?

At 4Mbps down, it's 512kbps up.
At 10Mbps down, its 1024kbps up.

Is 6Mbps down then sitting on the 10Mbps profile? So it'll be 1024kbps up? Or will they try limit it to something in between?

Thanks in advance,
S1ght :)

1Meg up only starts at 8Meg.

So you should get 640/512 up.

Hmm...is it not all the same profile then? So kinda like if you want 6/8/10 meg then on Telkom side they put you on the 10mbps profile but then sync you at 6/8/10? Or at least that's always how I understood it :(

correct if sit on 6mbps you are on 10mbps profile.

my down connection is 6144kbps and up is 637kbps

Has this changed with the recent line upgrades? I thought 4M down was already 1M up... Was at least for me when i was on 4M a while back....

Yup, the free speed upgrades separated the 4/10 meg profiles so now being on a 4meg profile is only 4096/512. I'm trying to debate bumping up my sync rate a bit to try get that extra upload speed back :/ So an extra R100 a month to get a sync rate of 10meg/1meg.

Probably worth noting that my account is 4mbps uncapped. So I'd only benefit from the upload rate in this case, unless I logged in with my FNB details or something like that.

They all have their own profiles. Just from a billing perspective, they are the same price.
