Wonder how long a 787 takes to reboot.
Hope their developers and QA teams get fired.
The glitch occurred under Boeing's own testing when software control of generator control units dropped into fail-safe mode
Why fire them if they found the glitch under their own testing?
So if the plane flying long, ie really long like in an emergancy.... refugee mission ect......
Tends to crash its avionics? Well thats dumb....
Wonder what else they found that they too afraid to tell the travelling public?
No i mean a real emergancy like constantly taking off and landing supplies, ir in a warzone....
Or even a fedex/ups plane, those get used heavily, and if they cant be turned off? What then?
They have maintenance windows and turnaround times on the ground during which they can be rebooted.
Thats all good and well, but what if its an emergancy conditions, or its waiting on the tarmac for queen elizabeth to board and she stuck in the loo in heathrow becuse of a bad curry?
I mean shes only human, and you cant exactly say to her majesty, please wait while we reeboot the plane?
a 248 day poo????
You never know what these royals do......
Ok, on average how often does say a 767 get rebooted? Or more accuratly stay completly turned on?
Obviesly depend on whete it works, but hypothtically, stay online for 6 months?
