8-ta - huge mess!

Got 2+1 promo. Was testing it and desided to buy 60+60.
8-ta Nedbank account was used couple times to top-up 2+1 and saved as beneficiary.
11.01 transferred money to this account for 60+60 deal and it is still not reflected on the account.
Time spended with 8ta helpdesk ~4-5 hrs. They supervisor/manager Ducks promiss to call back (3 days ago!!!) as case allready escalated 12.01. They confirmed that proof of payment is recieved.

Today SIM simpy deactivated!!!!
 
Ouch! I'm trying the Credit Card option to purchase enough airtime for the 2+1GB promo, but all I get is an error page!
 
More often than not you will have to go to the store and be in their face to get any reaction out of them. It's easy to handle an upset client over the phone, but once that client is standing in your store and everybody else can see and hear that he or she is pissed off it becomes a different exercise.
 
Got 2+1 special working

Almost painless procedure..considering it is 8ta.

1. 1hr: Standing in a line of 7 people
2. 30min: Receiving a sim card as 8ta ricas me.
3. Converting the airtime to the 2+1GB special - 30min and returning to the store as the USSD menu option number(which was incorrect) insisted that the R149 airtime was insufficient to purchase the R266 bundle that was supposed to be R149. Used the previous menu option and it assigned me the correct promotion.

Apparently to get the R149 promo as an option in the USSD menu ensure Telkom activates the promotion on the card b4 Jan31. But I'm no expert.

Good luck guys. There were customers in the sales line who lost it and left... others started banging the tables and yelling just trying to pay their bills.

The cashier line where money is received is very efficient and surely must be Telkoms best asset.
 
I wonder - what kind of peoples employed by 8-ta?
They can't trace EFT for 14 (FOURTEN) DAYS!!! All info about EFT supplied to them by 12.01

Yesterday i visit 8-ta Rosebank - they send email to some senior person - Denzil Martin (DVM) <[email protected]>.
Denzil send request for urgent resolving of this issue to Telkom Mobile Commercial Back Office 8ta <[email protected]>
Still not ANY feedback.

The attendant that helped me at Menlyn centre Pretoria was very helpful and knowledgable (but you have to wait long if there are many customers).

He pointed out there is a known problem when activating a prepaid bundle, that must last until the end of the following month but some customers around the middle of the month only got it to end of current month. They are looking into it.
