8710w Recovery Media

Howzit Chaps,

I am trying to locate 8710w Recovery Media, picked up a refurbished 8710w.

So I am trying to restore this baby to back to spec. Replaced the older HDD that had crashed, but seen as it was bought voetstoots me hoping to get it sorted.

anyone able to provide me with the 8710w Recovery Media - I will gladly pay the postage if you are not in and around Jhb.

I have it written to disc. I had to write it to a DL disc, 8 GB!

I hate those recovery disks... yeah sure, to do a 100% stock install is fun and easy, but not if you want to dual boot or anything like that....

Yes indeed froot, but fortunately I have my Via 2500e 1.5ghz running my Ubuntu Intrepid, so no need to dual boot on any of the others.

The via-Intrepid system has already saved my butt when I had to do a hsaty recovery from a HDD crash over the weekend. So I am glad havign that around.

But now with this 8710w baby, I am in another world.

I love these high end workstation based HP laptops, one gets a lot of mileage out of them. Because we always go on about how upgrading is limited, but with these highend ones, they just keep on going.

I dig my 8710W. I installed an ordinary version of Vista though, and then just loaded the HP drivers.
