Currently using my 10 GIG sim on the E1550 usb stick, that's after I had to install the 8.ta connect program. Works like a dream.

This is a long story, so bear with me please.

I'v received an IRobot Android Tablet yesterday and I can't get into the internet. Unfortunately this is one of those "fong kong" makes and the only information I have is this:

MODEL NO: YOSPAD

ANDROID VERSION: V2.2 2011-06-25 (011111)

KERNEL VERSION: 2.6.32.9
root@jackie-desktop #145

BUILD NO: RF85B

I've tried copying the 8.ta connect program to the tablet. But clicking on exe doesn't do anything.

On the one side of device is a few ports: 1 x usb, 2 x TF card, 1 x HDMI and 1 for inserting sim card.

So I removed the sim out of usb dongle and just putt it directly in the slot. No it actually is giving me signal, but still I cannot lock into web sites.

I think my settings is probably incorrect.

What is the correct settings for setting up a new APN:

This is what the are asking:

Name
APN
Proxy
Port
Username
Password
Server
MMSC
MMS Proxy
MMS Port
MCC
MNC
Authentication Type
APN Type

It will be heartly appreciated if someone can point me in right direction.

sorry I cannot help with your query, but where did you buy it from ,and how much was it ?

I got it as a gift from my dad.

Ordered it over the net. Price was round about R1500.00

Was actually only looking for an e reader, but got this. Internet would have just been a plus.

Lucky for me you didn't forget.

It actually worked !!!!!

But I must confess I didn't think it would worked.

Thank you so much.

Another good reason why I subscribed here. Somebody always knows the right answer.

Not bad actually, for a "fong kong" no name brand.

The only thing I can mention is the screen visibility. And that's only because I compared it to my sister's IPad 2.

It works like a bomb.

Battery life sucks.

Just playing around with applications, can run your battery life from full to low.

8ta SIM in an iPad uses APN 'internet'...........just that one word

Would the same not apply with the Android tablet?

Must admit the iPad is extremely intuitive,as I toggle between an 8ta SIM and a Vodacom SIM, which has different APN settings, the iPad knows which SIM uses which APN
