Anyone care to explain?

Is a bit pathetic. What I hate is the the Credit Card option. Always seems offline!

When you run out of air time, they redirect all traffic (incl Internet banking traffic) go to that site.

I guess they could make exceptions for the 5 or 6 banking sites. But for some people that will covers most of their requirements, removing their incentive to recharge.

Another way for them to make the process user friendly is to give you a few MB of emergency bandwidth per month. I think Vodacom has something like that.

But it's Telkom, so don't expect anything soon.

The "Logic" I was asking about was the fact they tell you to use internet banking on the page that tells you you cannot use the internet :p

If that's all they did, they would never run out (Yes - It'd expire - But it'd never run out :p) ;)

I was thinking about this, but Standard Bank sends me an E-Mail OTP code, so they'd have to make exceptions for popular e-mail clients as well ;D
