Now that 8ta are finally launching a BlackBerry service I'd planned to port to them this Sunday. However, when I called customer support to check on a few details they said I'm only able to take out a contract on a 24 month basis. I was under the impression that mobile networks were legally obligated to offer contracts on a month to month basis if I opted not to take a subsidized handset?
Anyone able to clarify this for me?
EDIT: Skimmed through the Ts & Cs and seems I am able to take out a contract on a month to month basis. Useless customer support already.. perhaps porting isn't the best idea :/
EDIT 2: Call centre have no idea what I'm talking about. Although I understand if the revised Ts & Cs do not permit for month to month contracts, the old one does yet accoring to them 8ta has never offered such an option. Manager will look into it. Feel like this may be a lost cause.
