8ta rep - help with Internet promo 10 contract termination

I am on the Internet promo 10 contract.
I have just called the Customer care center to make sure that my contract that is ending on the 6 July is actually terminated on that date. Only to be told that i will be charged for the full amount of R299 at the end of July for 6 days use in July.

I told him that the payment should be pro-rated then and he said no - full price R299.

So i asked that they terminate it at the end of June and was told that there is then a R400 early termination fee?

WTF?!?:mad:

I have also just taken out a Telkom LTE contract (that just needs to be activated) ... if this cr*p is not sorted out i will cancel the LTE contract as well.

I hope i dont have this hassle with fees. I told them 3 times since 31st may to terminate my contract on 3rd july when my contract is up. I refuse to pay for a full month when the contract is only for 3 days. It should be pro rata, anycase with the shocking way the network has been since april i think they should refund us for a service that wasn't up to scratch.

You basically have six days to burn 10GB.

if they gave me the full month to use the 20GB, i wouldn't mind ... but not 6 days:wtf:
it is impossible to use 20GB in 6 days because of the crap download speeds i am getting:confused:

Just get a Windows 8 notebook, you'll burn through a few gigs very quickly. :p

Most contracts charge subscription in advance and calls in arrears so you shouldn't pay subs for the last month of the contract
