I have the 4TB single driver version, so bought myself the WD 4TB 2.5” external drive for backup of the NAS.

Just to test the feature, I did configured it as extra storage to share videos from, and it worked.

But removed everything, just making image backup of NAS to external now and keep off-site.

My setup was i7 dell 256ssd with 3x 4TB connected via usb 3 running Plex.
I decided to try WD again so place some x265 Movies and TV shows on there shared via Twonky which it comes with, no issues playing the files smoothly, yet I have issues playing the files on the Dell.
 
A normal windows PC, with all drives connected and PLEX Server setup.
