Hey all,

Tried to install my girlfriends new head unit into her '95 Chico but it doesn't fit. By looking under the dash, all I can is a large bolt and screw in-line directly where the headunit would sit. The bolt and screw is fixed to the front wall of the car.

Has anybody else come across this, if so have you managed to get around it? Is it safe to remove that bolt?

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks guys,

Sabbz :)

It "helps" secure the radio, so they dont steal it and so the back of the radio doesnt fall into the dash, completely normal unscrew it.

Thanks very much for your reply Jk8, I'm sure my girlfriend will be thrilled. She doesn't like having the player sticking out of her dash the way it is, lmao.

Sabbz :)

It's suppose to fit my goes in without problems. You sure it's no something else it sticking to one of the sides

I had a feel around but there was nothing catching or sticking out. Perhaps it's just the type of headunit she has? Mayhap that it's longer than the regular ones?

Tbh, I'm not even sure if the bolt/screw is causing the problem. But I'll remove anyway and see what transpires.

Regards,
Sabbz :)
