9600GT Installation

My PSU doesn't have a 6-pin connector. It only has 2 free molex connectors. The cable that came with the Graphics Card is a 6-pin connector, with two molex connectors on the other end of it. Like I said, I plugged in one of the connectors from the GPU to one of the connectors from the PSU. How will I know if my GPU is underpowered or not?

Nvidia control pannel will have a pop-up after you swich you PC on when windows has loaded and say that it requires more power.
 
Then I assume it's safe to say that one Molex connector is sufficient? I don't see the point in plugging in both, as both run down the same cable. If one is plugged in, the power still travels through the cable to the card.
