9700 water damage help needed.

My girlfriend accidentally put my 9700 through the washing machine a few months back.
I let it dry out good and put it on today.
Everything works fine but it is not picking up any network. It searches for network and then goes to SOS mode.
My local Pakistani says its the Network IC that needs to be replaced and will cost R450.00

I would like to attempt this myself.
Does anybody know where I can buy a network IC in Pretoria? Cant find anything on google.

Ali's in Queen street. You must know what u doing.
Water also results in rust on the MB so it might work or might give u problem after problem.

Hahaha iv been using an s2 samsung since then. Also have a 10.1 tablet. Android is the best
But iv got this BB and it was actually a handy phone.
