A Chair Thread - What Now?

I have destroyed cheaper chairs the past year. What is good now? For gaming/media and office work.
"Gaming" chairs are 100% a gimmick and pretty much a scam. Paying a premium for a sub-par product. A good chair is just simply a good chair no matter what the use case and the okes above have linked a few really good ones.

What you really are looking for is:
  • quality materials and construction - goedkoop is duurkoop
  • Adjustability, especially around the armrests and lower back support and angle of the seat
  • Moveability - you need a chair that can move and flex because you are a human and you need to fidget and move and the chair should work with that. Avoid fixed armrests at all costs!

I found an old school 1980s office chair at a charity shop for R300. Best ever. It's made from steel square tubing, weighs a ton, and strong as hell. And it never goes out of level.

If you are going new, and not spending R6k plus, you are probably getting rubbish. They all seem to develop a slight tilt after a few months. causing back pain.
