1)NO! The game will only install.. what you are talking about would induce piracy!

2)Songs,Movies,Pics and demos. Nothing else.

3)It isnot possible(yet). Sony have said they will NEVER introduce backwards compatibility to none 60GB PS3's. So count it as a never.. unless someone finds a hack/glitch.

Any others need answering?

1. No
2. saving music, pics, videos etc.
3. If its the original 60GB then they have a emulator built in which allows you to play PS2 games. There's no extra software you can load onto the PS3 to allow you to play PS2 games - if it's not built in then your out of luck. There were rumors that a firmware update was going to add backward compatibility, but Sony squashed said and said its never going to happen.

1-no
2-all media
3-you can and there are ways via usb to play your ps2 titles even if you can play them backwards compatible. This involves buying a swap magic disk.

thanks for the info, how would i know if it is the original 80gig ?

next questions:

i find the original ps3 gamepad very flimsy can i plug in my logitek usb (pc) into it and use that instead? (i didn't wanna try it incase i broke something)

can i plug any 5.1 speakers into the ps3 ? i want to use it as a media centre

should i know anything in specific to keep the blue ray reader in good nic?
i dont want it breaking all of a sudden and i read alot of horror stories on the ps3 were the blueray drive no longer works

thanks in advance

last question i promise :)

how can i hook up my ps3 to my pc ? is there a guide anywere ?

i wanna transfer my movies off my pc directly onto the ps3

You don't really connect your PC to the PS like you would LAN, but there are similarities. Instead of the conventional way, now you connect the 2, install Java PS3 Media Server (http://ps3mediaserver.net/java_ps3_media_server.php). If all is well, you will see the Media Server under one of the media sections of your PS menu. You can then just browse for the file you want to play....and play it. All transcoding needed is done on your PC.

I use this and have not come across a file that I cannot play yet.
