I have been reading through the forum for a few days and i have finally registered. I have a few questions for the so called experts...
1. My max connection speed using the N70 (3G) is about 48 kBps. Is this the maximum you can get with this connection and/or phone?
2. My connection always drops to about 3 kBps between 20h00 and 22h00. I am living in Atlasville, Boksburg. Is this fair as i would expect that there are millions of people online at this time?
3. There are quite frequent instance where my phone (connected via cable) remaining in the same postion (5 bar 3G signal) will download 16 kBps for a minute and then automatically go to 46 kBps for a minute and then back down again repeating for the duration of the connection. Is this a signal stregnth issue or is my phone playing tricks with me?
4. The signal quality seems very sensitive as i find by just moving my phone sideways by 1cm, it moves from 16 kBps into 48 kBps (both showing full stregnth 3G signals). Is this normal?
5. Does anyone get more than 50 kBps on the N70 phone?
6. If i am getting full strength 3G signal on my current phone, when i upgrade to a HSDPA enabled phone, is it certain that i will get HSDPA signal from the same locations or am i drawing straws here?
7. Last question......I've read on some posts that users get 64 kBps on 3G phones, but surely the max you can get is 48 kBps (384 kbps/8 = 48 kBps)
I just thought i ask some of these questions to get a answer once and for all as i debate these issues with friends every day and we are not so called experts...
sorry one more question, when will Vodacom provide us users a 100% effecient connection at 1 MByte per second........i had to ask......
