A few questions on drivers test.

So in a weeks time my wife will be doing her test at Springs testing grounds. The driving instructor took us for a ride, so asking him isn't an option. So we have just two questions for now. Here goes:

1. With the 3 stage turn (3 punt draai), at every stop, must the wheels be straight, or can it stay turned?

2. With the before driving inspection, must she "check" the safety belt too?

1. No they can be turned at each stop, it's fine.
2. Nope she doesn't have to.
 
Like Pooky said, you dont have to check the seat belt.
But as for turning the wheels while the car is stationery, I think you may lose a point or two. Nothing serious though.
 
you may not turn the wheels as the car is stationary, the wheels only have to be straight at the final line. You do not need your seat belt at all for the parking. It is the instructors duty to tell you when you need to put your seat belt on, I have had a few friends fighting their way out of this one. just make sure that you do not take **** from them at all. Once you hit the main road after the parking it is your responsibility to put your seat belt back on again, you should get told to though.
 
Okay thanks, will help if the wheels needn't be straight, although I still think it would be better. But anyhow. It's actually a whole lot of bull all that pre inspection riddle.
 
Nope emergency stop for me was during the driving part after the yard.

Well, that all depends on the instructor. I didn't have to perform one. As for your first question, the wheels do not have to be straight, but it helps a lot with the 3-point turn to counter-steer before stopping.
