Sorry to hear about your loss. I had almost the same happen to me when my connection disconnected while fighting a boss, luckly my pets killed it and my toughness was high enough

Yeah, but hard-core refers to permanent death. Either by throwing the character onto another server or wiping it entirely, depending on the game

It's a whole different challenge. Much more adrenaline, greater sense of achievement etc.
