So I found a dead pixel on my new LCD TV, well I don't know if its a dead pixel its kind of blue:confused::confused:, so my question is does my warranty cover this and is it really something to worry about?

This depends on the warranty. Look for the pixel error class II as defined by ISO standard 13406-2.
http://www.jacobsen.no/anders/blog/...062_standard_for_lcd_screen_pixel_faults.html

The table below shows the allowable number of malfunctioning pixels that are acceptable, depending on the native resolution of the LCD and allowing for 2 malfunctioning pixels per million pixels.
Native resolution-----------------No. of pixels-------------------------No. of million pixels------------------Acceptable defects
1024 x 768------------------------786,432----------------------------------- 0.8 ------------------------------ 2

Thus one dead pixel acceptable. right?
