If your id book licence was converted to a card your code 8 will be EB if you had a card from the start your code 8 will be B

If you only going for your license the first time and didn't have one prior to the conversion you will be issued with a code B. The EB is for caravans and heavy trailers. The normal B license you can only drive a car and a light trailer.
